Job Title: Transportation Specialist

This role requires a professional driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services to residents.

  • Ambulatory assistance including equipment such as mobility aids and resident shopping will be provided by the driver.
  • The driver will assist with simple mobilization including pushing a wheelchair where trained to do so.
  • Engagement with residents will be encouraged and supported by the driver, including sharing information on topics discussed at the end of each shift.
  • The driver will deliver high-quality customer service, adhering to timely provision of agreed services.
  • Maintaining due care at all times, the driver will drive in accordance with road and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver residents and their mobility aids safely to designated locations.
  • Assist residents with simple mobilization including pushing a wheelchair where trained to do so.
  • Provide excellent customer service and engage with residents to ensure a positive experience.
Requirements:
  • Licence for driving buses of 16 passenger capacity or less.
  • Prior experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices.
  • Ability to use computer software (Word and Excel).
  • NDIS Worker Check/ Police Clearance.
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Covid vaccination evidence.
