Procurement and Logistics Specialist

The role of Procurement and Logistics Specialist is essential to the smooth production and delivery of products. This involves sourcing, purchasing, and acquiring components at competitive prices to maintain optimal stock levels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers, creating and maintaining positive relationships, managing stock levels, and coordinating logistics for deliveries to customers in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Duties- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and terms.
- Establish and improve collaborative relationships with suppliers.
- Manage stock levels to ensure minimum/maximum stock and reorder levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with the Production and Logistics Manager to review ordering quantities and timing.
- Prepare and submit weekly procurement requirements.
- Identify and rectify delivery and invoicing discrepancies with suppliers.
- Coordinate quotes and freight bookings for delivery of goods to customers and sites.
- 3+ years of purchasing experience.
- Qualification in Procurement is advantageous.
- A working understanding of ERP system modules (warehousing, manufacturing, and inventory) is required.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
