This role involves the design and planning of large-scale maritime facilities, including wharves, jetties, port developments, marinas, seawalls, and pontoons.

Job Overview

As a maritime structural engineer, you will work on projects such as defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability (hydrogen terminals). You will collaborate with other disciplines across various partners and be supported by experienced engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and plan maritime structures using reinforced concrete and steel.
  • Use structural analysis software to evaluate and report on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures.
  • Work with local governments, port clients, and Defence sector stakeholders to deliver projects that meet their needs.
  • Liaise with project managers and proposal teams to assist with project management and business development tasks.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years' experience in structural design, including reinforced concrete and steel.
  • Knowledge of Australian design codes and guidelines.
  • Experience in using structural analysis software.
  • Ability to work with local governments, port clients, and Defence sector stakeholders.
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance.
