The Opportunity

As part of our growth, we are seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Engineering team. This is a permanent, full-time role.

This role will work across a range of Engineering and Waste Management projects. The successful applicant will be involved in a range of industrial and waste management infrastructure projects including industrial buildings and infrastructure, building assessments, and structural investigations.

Responsibilities
  • Design of a variety of structures across sectors including Industrial, Mining, Waste Management (recycling centres, community drop off facilities, waste transfer station)
  • Conduct site inspections during construction to check for construction compliance
  • Structural inspections and reporting on existing structures
  • Maintain strong relationships and effective communication with clients
  • Occasional regional and interstate travel for structural inspections and investigations
About you
  • Tertiary qualified in Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering with Structural specialisation
  • Knowledgeable in structural engineering. The ideal candidate would be aiming to apply for CPEng in Structural Engineering in the next few years, or be CPEng already
  • Familiar with relevant Australian Standards including AS 1170 Structural Design Actions, AS 4100 Steel Structures, AS 3600 Concrete Structures
  • Proficient in steel and concrete design
  • Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong report writing skills and excellent communication skills
  • Eligible for membership at Engineers Australia (MIEAust or GradIEAust)
  • Full Australian working rights
