Maritime Technical Project Manager

We're seeking a seasoned technical leader to spearhead our maritime projects. This strategic role focuses on driving business growth, developing project pipelines, and delivering high-quality outcomes that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engagement with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners across diverse maritime projects, including Defence, Ports Authorities, oil & gas, renewable energy, and international aid.
  • Oversee project management, ensuring value addition throughout the project lifecycle and delivery of outputs to requirement, quality, program, and budgetary expectations.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, mentoring less experienced members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to proposal development and bid preparation for projects, leveraging your expertise to secure new opportunities.
  • Pursue business development activities, building relationships with clients and collaborating with international colleagues to drive growth.

What You'll Bring to the Role
  • Proven experience in technical leadership and management of maritime infrastructure projects.
  • Approximately 15-20 years of professional experience in planning, assessment, analysis, design, and remediation of maritime structures (e.g., wharves, jetties, ship lifts, pontoons, seawalls, etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering large-scale projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant standards and industry best practices, familiarity with international design standards.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities and building relationships with clients to drive business growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering with relevant registration/chartership (RPEQ/CPEng).
  • Eligibility to obtain Australian Government Security Clearance is preferred.
