- A strong background in agricultural finance, with knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
About the Role:
The Senior Credit Analyst will be responsible for conducting thorough credit underwriting for new customers, including completing applications, validating information, performing comprehensive credit searches, legal checks, KYC reviews, financial analysis, preparing detailed credit papers, and presenting findings to the Investment Committee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Underwriting: Conduct thorough credit underwriting for new customers, ensuring that all relevant data is accurately recorded and securely stored for compliance purposes.
- Facility Renewals: Manage facility renewals and re-underwriting processes by preparing updated credit documentation and presenting recommendations to the Investment Committee for approval.
- Covenant Compliance: Monitor covenant compliance and assess overall portfolio quality, identifying emerging risks that may impact the business or clients.
- Risk Management: Escalate any identified credit risks in a timely manner to ensure proactive risk management across the portfolio.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years' experience in a similar analytical or credit-focused role within banking or agricultural finance environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement analysis-including cashflow modelling-and debt serviceability assessment.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
