About the role

We are inviting applications for a new career opportunity as a Relief Team Operator in Western Australia.

Our Relief Teams provide annual leave coverage at various customer sites, consisting of experienced Operators who work closely together to achieve operational goals.

You will be based on an annualised 8/6 roster, trained and supported to operate MMU/MCU vehicles, and experience a variety of mine sites, terrains, and commodities.

This is an incredible opportunity to work within a specialist blasting team, develop your skills with experienced professionals, and have an exciting career path with a supportive company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operate MMU vehicles/MCU vehicles and associated blasting plant and machinery;
  • Provide operational blasting knowledge and advice to client blast crews and stakeholders;
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and explosive product delivery down pre-drilled blast holes;
  • Work in tight unison with teammates to provide excellent service to valued customers;
  • Demonstrate the company's core value: 'Safety is our Priority, Always';
  • Acknowledge and respect all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Current Heavy Rigid (HR) drivers licence or ability to gain prior to commencement;
  • 2+ years blast crew experience; Open Cut or Underground;
  • Genuine interest in technical aspects of blasting;
  • Ability to pass required security checks for a Dangerous Goods licence;
  • Excellent attitude with a focus on teamwork;
  • Basic mechanical comprehension is advantageous but not essential.
