Forensic Mental Health Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and competitive candidate to join our team as a PhD scholar in forensic behavioural science. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake research that supports the research agenda of the project, examining the efficacy of Forensicare regional forensic mental health teams as they are implemented across the state of Victoria.
About the ProjectThe project aims to investigate improved care continuity and coordination, diversion of people from the criminal justice system, reduced demand for costly and restrictive forensic mental health beds, collegial capability and capacity building, supported consumer recovery, and positive community perceptions of the regional forensic mental health services.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor degree honours and/or a research master's degree in psychological sciences, health sciences, population and global health, and those with relevant industry experience, with a First Class Honours (average grade 80-100) or equivalent.
- Meet the entry requirements for the relevant Higher Degree by Research at Swinburne University of Technology.
- The capacity to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative manner.
- Problem solving and organisational capacities with the ability to manage task deadlines.
