About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled underground planner to join our team and contribute to our medium-term planning strategy.

This pivotal role plays a key part in safeguarding the business from unnecessary risk by ensuring decisions are made with a holistic view balancing both short- and long-term priorities. You'll work with advanced Deswik tools (CAD, SCH, MSO) and collaborate closely with technical and operational teams to shape the mine's medium-term direction.

Job Requirements

You're an experienced underground planner ready to extend your influence. You've honed your technical skills such as designing mines, building schedules, and performing cost evaluations, and now you're seeking a role where your insights shape planning strategy, as well as execution. You're driven by impact, autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute to others' development.

  • Solid Underground Planning Experience: Ideally in hard rock environments.
  • Advanced Deswik Skills: CAD, SCH, MSO; experience with Ventsim modelling is a bonus.
  • Strong Analytical Mindset: With the ability to run scenario analyses and communicate findings across disciplines.
  • Professional Membership: e.g. AusIMM, and a commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and deep thinking.
