Underground Planner Role

We are seeking an experienced Underground Planner to join our team.

This pivotal role plays a key part in safeguarding the business from unnecessary risk by ensuring decisions are made with a holistic view balancing both short- and long-term priorities.

You will work closely with technical and operational teams to shape the mine's medium-term direction.

The successful candidate will have advanced Deswik skills (CAD, SCH, MSO) and experience with Ventsim modelling is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing mines, building schedules, and performing cost evaluations
  • Developing planning strategies and executing plans
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

Requirements:
  • Solid underground mine planning or mining studies, ideally in hard rock environments
  • Advanced Deswik skills (CAD, SCH, MSO)
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to run scenario analyses and communicate findings across disciplines
