Trust Accountant Role

We are seeking a detail-driven Trust Accountant to manage key trust accounting functions, including bank reconciliations and payment runs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trust accounting legislation and compliance, as well as experience in managing multiple deadlines.

  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Managing bank reconciliations and payment runs
    • Processing invoice entry with accuracy and efficiency
    • Liaising with property managers and directors on trust account matters
    • Coordinating disbursements for residential and commercial clients
    • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual trust accounting reports

The successful candidate will be proactive, have exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. They will also have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in real estate trust accounting
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping qualification highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of trust accounting legislation and compliance
  • Familiarity with Property Tree, PropertyMe, Re-leased
  • Commercial trust accounting experience considered an advantage
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines
  • A proactive, go-getter attitude with excellent time management
  • Clear and professional communication skills
