Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead the delivery of competitive school sporting opportunities for students in Western Australian schools.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with School Sport WA to develop and implement policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of competitive school sporting opportunities for students in WA schools, in collaboration with School Sport WA.
  • Promote, plan and manage interschool, interstate and international sport activities (e.g., country weeks, national carnivals, inter-school swimming and athletics carnivals).
  • Develop, implement and evaluate policies, procedures and guidelines for international and interstate team activities, officials duties, sport secretaries and committees, budgeting, codes of conduct and equity in competition.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a related field (e.g. sports management, education, business).
  • Experience in sports management, coaching or teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
