Job Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of School Sport Coordinator.

This position will play a vital role in leading and managing the delivery of competitive school sporting opportunities for students in Western Australian schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and guidelines for international and interstate team activities.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of competitive interschool, interstate and international sport for Western Australian school students.
  • Provide leadership and management support to ensure the successful delivery of programs and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including School Sport WA and other government agencies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high level of knowledge and understanding of the policy directions and issues relating to the organisation of competitive sport for students in schools.
  • Highly developed people leadership and program management skills with the ability to plan and equitably manage financial resources and the organisation of large scale sporting and other activities.
  • Highly developed oral and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to undertake high-level consultations, collaborations and negotiations and build high-level cross-sectoral relationships and networks.
