Transport and Road Policy Position

We are seeking a dedicated Transport and Road Policy Officer to develop policy positions, guidelines, and procedures that impact transport and road issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing policy positions on transport and road issues;
  • Liaising with stakeholders to undertake research and analysis;
  • Representing WALGA on various committees across WA;
  • Engaging with State and Federal Government agencies, industry, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and progress opportunities;
  • Providing technical guidance to Local Governments.

The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills, proficiency in data analysis, project planning experience, and knowledge of Local Government structures and operations. A 'C' class driver's license is also required.

As a Transport and Road Policy Officer, you will be part of a dynamic team that advocates for the interests of Local Governments in WA. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in shaping transport and road policies that benefit the community.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Good communication skills;
  • Proficiency in data analysis;
  • Experience in project planning and coordination;
  • Awareness of Local, State, and Federal Government structures and operations;
  • Driver's license.
