Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Road Transport Mechanic to join our team in Newman, Western Australia. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of highway-going trucks, generators, dewatering pump units, lighting plans, mobile and classified plant equipment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services to a fleet of Trucks (Scania/Fuso's), Diesel Generators, Lighting Plants, EWP's, Forklifts, and other critical equipment within the Auxiliary department
  2. Contribute to our safety and continuous improvement culture by being proactive and demonstrating high standards of execution within your trade
  3. Operate mobile equipment within limits of competence, training, and experience
  4. Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports, and drawings as required
  5. Use computerized maintenance systems (SAP) including time confirmations, raising notifications, and closing work orders

Requirements:

  • Australian recognized Heavy Road Transport Mechanical Qualification
  • C Class Drivers Licence (Highly Desirable)
  • High Risk License Working at Heights, HR, CV, Dogging, Rigging, Forklift, Air Con Ticket (Desirable)
  • Extensive experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing/servicing a broad range of machinery/equipment of direct relevance
  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well within a close-knit team to achieve outcomes
