As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical assistance to customers and IoT devices.
Job OverviewTransforming customer experiences through seamless technical support is at the core of our mission. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our products or services.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Providing first-line technical support to customers and IoT devices via phone, email, or in-person.
- Responding to automated alerts and customer queries related to IoT devices by providing accurate and timely solutions for common hardware, firmware, connectivity, and software issues.
- Escalating complex cases to higher-level support teams while maintaining open communication with customers.
- Documenting customer interactions, issues reported, troubleshooting steps taken, and solutions provided in the ticketing system.
To excel in this role, you should possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Office 365 applications, and common desktop software applications. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
A strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability, coupled with a methodical approach to issue resolution, are critical for success in this position. Additionally, a customer service-oriented attitude and commitment to providing exceptional support to end-users are highly valued.
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Previous experience in a technical support, customer service, or helpdesk role (experience with IoT devices is a plus).
- Strong proficiency in using helpdesk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Experience with device firmware updates and basic hardware diagnostics.
- Understanding of audio visual and digital media devices, protocols, and formats.
