About the Role

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality professional health care interpreting and/or translation services to facilitate communication between health care providers and patients in certified and/or assessed and approved language/s.

This position is key in supporting equity and access to health care services for patients/clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds or the Deaf community.

Ideal Candidate
  • NAATI Certification when the language is certified by NAATI; or Recognition if certification is not available.
  • Demonstrated capacity to interpret in a healthcare setting with professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to identify and convey social and cultural factors affecting health care, ensuring effective patient outcomes.
  • Capacity to identify ethical dilemmas and deal with them in compliance with AUSIT Code of Ethics, promoting a culture of respect and trust.
  • Current NSW driver licence and willingness to travel for work-related purposes.
