Recreational Activity Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recreational Activity Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our care services delivery, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social and recreational activities that improve and maintain the quality of life of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized and group recreational activities to meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify areas of strength and need, and adapt programs accordingly.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and caregivers to provide exceptional care and support.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation, progress, and program effectiveness.
- Transport residents on approved outings and provide personal care assistance as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma of Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification in recreation therapy.
- Experience in diversional therapy or related field with focus on resident-centered care.
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn technology systems.
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
- Basic experience with technology including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
