We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team at Bio-Rad, a global leader in life science research and clinical diagnostics. As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting our Pacific business, based in our modern office in South Granville, Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and review financial reports, including month-end and quarterly reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage intercompany account reconciliations, including intercompany purchases reconciliation across multiple entities.
- Supervise and coach the Accounting Officer on Accounts Payable processes to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and employee expenses.
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws, including GST Returns and FBT returns.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to provide financial analysis and support to the business.
- Sound knowledge of accounting practices and standards.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong team focus and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting major and > 3 years' experience in a similar role with SAP knowledge.
