About the Role

Ampersand International seeks a highly skilled Senior Advisor, Cyber Security to join our team for a 12-month contract with the option of a 1-year extension. As a strategic cybersecurity expert, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice and technical knowledge within our cyber advisory section.

About You:

  • You have a deep understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks, as well as experience in security compliance and advisory services.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • You are proactive in identifying and addressing security risks, ensuring that our organisation's information assets are protected.
  • You commit to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
  • You hold or can obtain baseline clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise within the Security Compliance team, focusing on security compliance and advisory services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies and standards to ensure adherence to legislative requirements and good practice.
  • Draft Security Architecture reviews and cyber assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks to information security.
  • Draft compliance reporting activities, including Essential Eight (E8) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) reporting.
  • Conduct regular cyber risk assessments and maintain the cyber risk register to proactively address potential issues.
