Strategic Supply Chain Leader Job

The role of Head of Product & Supply Chain is a critical position responsible for driving sustainable growth, capital efficiency, and supplier performance across the national distribution network. This key leadership role manages a team of six and reports to the Executive General Manager.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute national and international sourcing strategies to drive cost savings, reliable supply, and quality.
  • BUILD and MANAGE a COMPETITIVE SUPPLIER NETWORK, including global Sourcing, negotiations, and compliance.
  • Lead INVENTORY PLANNING to balance product AVAILABILITY with cost EFFICIENCY.
  • Drive INVENTORY PERFORMANCE through strong FORECASTING, KPI MANAGEMENT, and STOCK HEALTH GOVERNANCE.
  • Manage SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE through SCORECARDS, REVIEWS, and STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS.
  • Balance COST, QUALITY, and COMPLIANCE to meet CUSTOMER NEEDS and uphold ETHICAL and SUSTAINABILITY STANDARDS.
  • Lead CATEGORY STRATEGY, PRICING, and PRODUCT LIFECYCLE PLANNING, including NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT.
  • Lead and Develop a HIGH-PERFORMING, COMMERCIALLY FOCUSED STATE TEAM across multiple functions.
  • Optimise SYSTEMS and TOOLS for DEMAND PLANNING and INVENTORY VISIBILITY.
  • Use DATA to improve FORECASTING and REPLENISHMENT DECISIONS.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in a senior supply chain, procurement or strategic sourcing LEADERSHIP ROLE.
  • A successful track record of managing high-SKU portfolios and intricate inventory ENVIRONMENTS.
  • Category Leadership or management experience.
  • An inspirational people leader with a passion for developing TEAMS.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including contract negotiation, cost analysis, and margin MANAGEMENT.
  • Experience with international sourcing and LOGISTICS.
  • SAP highly desirable.
