About the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service:
Our facilities include Emerald Hospital, a 32-bed facility with two operating theatres and over 160 staff providing emergency, acute care, perioperative services, maternity, infusion services, HITH, child health, mental health, palliative care, community and primary care. We also have Blackwater MPHS, a busy rural 16 bed facility incorporating 4 aged care beds, providing acute inpatient, accident and emergency, pharmacy, outpatient and urgent radiology services to the community.

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our team in Emerald Nursing Resource Unit, who will be allocated to different facilities to backfill leave across the hospitals/facilities within the Central Highlands. The successful candidate will live in supplied accommodation if they are not working in the town which is their normal place of residence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be currently registered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Have experience in Emergency department and Aged Care, although this is not essential.
  • Demonstrate sound evidence-based clinical skills for an Enrolled Nurse and knowledge in area of practice and setting working within the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse.
  • Show ability to work well in a team and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate respectfully and thoughtfully with other staff, patients and carers.
