Job Title: General Practitioner - Emerald, Queensland.
Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time.
Practice Information: Priority Health Group in Emerald is a mixed billing practice.
Position Description: This position is for an International Medical Graduate (IMG) to provide competent patient-centred care that addresses health needs and promotes wellness.
Qualifications & Experience: MBBSCurrent Advanced Life Support certificate (ALS)The general practitioner must abide by all legislative acts governing medical practice in Queensland.
Maintain medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency relevant to your qualifications Satisfactory participation in quality improvement and continuing professional development to at least the same standards as the Royal Australian College of General Practice's or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine Quality Assurance and Continuing Professional Development (QA & CPD) Program Maintain current Medical Indemnity insurance Training in CPR undertaken within the past three years.
Excellent interpersonal skills including a strong grasp on the dynamics of communication and conflict resolution.
Well-developed skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning and organizing workload.
Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team Experience in negotiating with numerous parties to gain a positive result Ability to work under pressure.
Familiarity with computerized medical records Adhere to the practice work health and safety policies and procedures.
Understand and apply the Policy and Procedures manual.
Participate in clinical meetings within the practice and may include other meetings on occasion.
Ensure personal responsibility to maintain 4th edition accreditation standards as part of the practice team.
After Hours Requirements: No Salary Information:$77,681 - $150,000 per annum.
About Emerald: Emerald is located in Central Queensland with a population base of about 35,000 including surrounding townships.
The town is one hour by flight from Brisbane and is well serviced by Qantas & Virgin Airways.
It is three hours drive east to Rockhampton and four hours drive west to Longreach.
