Job Overview

This is a strategic leadership position within the second line of defence risk management function, responsible for safeguarding the integrity and reputation of operations.

  • Lead a team focused on financial crime compliance and serve as the primary advocate and subject matter authority on financial crime risk.
  • Develop and oversee a long-term strategy for managing and mitigating financial crime, encompassing enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Provide counsel to senior leaders and business units on compliance matters, including current and emerging trends.
  • Nurture effective relationships with regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize a minimum 10 years' experience in risk management within the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrate at least 5 years' senior-level experience in financial crime compliance, highlighting anti-money laundering, sanctions or fraud and scams expertise.
  • Exhibit a strong working knowledge of New Zealand's legislative and regulatory environment related to financial crime.
