Financial Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Financial Support Specialist to join our team in providing high-quality financial counselling services to clients facing financial hardship.
This role will involve delivering holistic, wraparound services that improve outcomes for individuals and families through effective financial planning, support and advocacy.
- Provide comprehensive financial assessments and develop personalized plans to achieve financial stability.
- Deliver tailored information, guidance and advocacy services to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Contribute to community development initiatives that promote financial resilience and well-being.
- Collaborate with our legal team to ensure integrated service delivery and optimal outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough financial assessments and provide detailed recommendations for achieving financial stability.
- Develop and implement personalized financial plans that address the unique needs and circumstances of each client.
- Deliver high-quality information, guidance and advocacy services to support clients in achieving their financial goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver community development initiatives that promote financial literacy and capability.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in financial counselling or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
- Knowledge of community development principles and practices.
