Procurement Specialist

This exciting new career opportunity will challenge you to transform procurement for our plant, playing a pivotal hands-on role in sourcing, selecting and developing suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes in terms of Price, Quality, Quality of Service and Exposure to Risk for components and raw material for both existing and new products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier selection, development and performance audits
- Own category spend analytics, APOP planning and supplier negotiations
- Work with regional and global category teams to align and execute sourcing strategies
- Manage RFPs, pricing agreements, forecasting, reporting and lifecycle costing
- Achieve annual cost reductions via negotiation, benchmarking and localisation
- Ensure material flow, mitigate risks and develop alternate sourcing strategies
- Build long-term supplier partnerships that drive innovation and sustainability
- Leverage digital tools to reduce non-value-added activities in procurement
- Align with sustainability goals through responsible sourcing
Requirements:
- Degree inElectrical or Mechanical Engineering coupled with previous experience in a similarrole, ideally within a similarManufacturing environment / organisation
- Knowledge of Transformercomponents and related supply chain requirements
- Proven technical skills in relation to Procurement, Buying and Sourcing requirements
- Intermediate IT skills, experienced in the use of digital tools and other best practice
- Strongdata analysis,negotiation andstakeholder relationship managementskills
- Project managementcapabilities and demonstrated experience in partnering with both domesticand international stakeholders
