Operations Site Manager Job Description

The Operations Site Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily depot operations, collaborating closely with operations managers and supervisors to drive quality and budget goals forward.

The position involves managing budgets, operational metrics, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards such as OSHA and other industry guidelines.

This role encompasses key responsibilities including:

  • Managing personnel needs by hiring, coaching, disciplining, training, and evaluating employees effectively.
  • Developing short- and long-term goals and action plans in collaboration with the Site Manager and Director of Operations.
  • Participating in financial reviews, optimizing equipment utilization, and managing costs.

For this challenging yet rewarding role, the ideal candidate should possess supervisory experience, strong leadership skills, and a background in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations.

A minimum of 5+ years of experience in team management is required, along with an Associate degree or equivalent education and experience.
