Development Control Planner - Cadet Role

This position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Development Control Planner - Cadet. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the planning functions of our organization, with the goal of progressing into the role of Development Control Planner.


Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support to the planning team in assessing development applications and providing advice to the public on planning-related matters. This involves working closely with stakeholders, analyzing data, and developing recommendations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Eligible to enroll in tertiary qualifications leading to a degree in town planning;
  • Excellent customer service skills, including verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficiency in the operation of various computer packages, including Microsoft Office programs, Adobe, and internet-based data administration applications;
  • Experience in updating/maintaining databases and registers;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
