Systems Engineering Role

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-impact national security projects, contributing to systems engineering efforts in architecture design, mission assurance, digital engineering, and technology integration.

This is a three-month immersive role that includes a two-week immersion at our U.S. headquarters. Upon program completion, you will transition into a permanent systems engineering role.

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field and relevant professional experience. You should also have strong critical thinking and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams.

  • You will participate in a three-month, cohort-based program addressing real engineering challenges for government partners in defence, intelligence, and national resilience sectors.
  • Working on priority national security projects, contributing to systems engineering efforts in architecture design, mission assurance, digital engineering, and technology integration.
  • Applying model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and related approaches to design and evaluate systems supporting national security initiatives.
  • Supporting sponsor engagement activities, collaborating with technical teams, program managers, and operational users to ensure alignment with mission objectives and stakeholder needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7 or higher) in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Early to mid-career experience, including recent graduates with strong academic foundations or those with several years of relevant professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering concepts such as requirements analysis, architecture development, lifecycle planning, and system validation.
  • Exposure to or familiarity with MBSE tools and techniques (e.g., SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw, or similar platforms).
  • Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams.
