You have the opportunity to join a dynamic team that is shaping the future of national security capabilities. The Australian Security Accelerator Program (ASAP) is designed to launch early to mid-career professionals into impactful national security careers.
The program consists of a three-month immersive experience that includes working directly with technical teams on high-impact initiatives, receiving structured mentorship from senior engineers, and deepening your understanding of mission, systems, and technologies driving Australia's security future.
Key Highlights:
- Work on priority national security projects focused on architecture design, mission assurance, digital engineering, and technology integration within the Australian context.
- Apply model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and related approaches to help design and evaluate systems supporting Australia's defence, intelligence, and whole-of-government security initiatives.
- Support sponsor engagement activities collaborating with technical teams, program managers, and operational users to ensure solutions align with mission objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Gain practical exposure to tools and frameworks commonly used in systems engineering, including SysML, MagicDraw/Cameo, and digital engineering environments.
Upon completion, you will transition into a permanent systems engineering role at a leading organization.
