Job Title: Healthcare Security Specialist

  • Main Responsibilities:
    Patrol hospital grounds to ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Surveillance Monitoring:
    Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to identify potential threats.
  • Access Control:
    Regulate entry points to restricted areas, verifying authorized personnel access.
  • Emergency Response:
    Rapidly respond to medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security breaches, collaborating with hospital staff during crisis situations.
  • Customer Service:
    Greet visitors, provide directions, and address any concerns, adhering to hospital policies.
  • Conflict Resolution:
    De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts professionally, and maintain a calm environment.
  • Reporting:
    Detailed documentation of daily activities, incidents, and accidents.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • A valid Security License for Nova Scotia.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C certification.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written).
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields.
  • UOF and MOAB certifications, or completion of Paladin's training program prior to onboarding.
