Role Overview

The Data Management Consultant plays a pivotal role in assisting the Council to uphold compliance with the Information Management Framework. This position involves providing a spectrum of consultancy services related to data and information management across the organization.

Key responsibilities include engaging with stakeholders as a trusted advisor, effectively communicating changes in data management processes, and ensuring that all actions are executed consistently and in alignment with established protocols.

This role is instrumental in coordinating and prioritizing updates to information systems, enhancing the quality of insights derived from our information management framework while ensuring the integrity of the Council's data registry.

As a key contributor, you will collaborate across departments to advance our mission of fostering growth in Townsville and support the delivery of the Corporate Plan in partnership with the community.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess significant industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role focused on enhancing data and information management within a large, multi-disciplinary organization.

Expertise in providing effective consultancy services, change management support, and training in data management processes is essential. A strong grasp of adult learning principles and experience in designing and delivering training materials across diverse delivery methods is required.
