About the Opportunity

The Melbourne University Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Midwife to lead and manage the Clinical Midwife Research team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Clinical Midwife Research team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
  • Nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Develop and implement research projects to improve patient outcomes and advance midwifery practice.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver research studies.
  • Provide guidance and support to research staff to ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to promote research and education initiatives.
Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
  • Post Graduate qualifications in midwifery or research highly regarded.
  • Good Clinical Practice certificate for all research staff – essential or working towards.
  • Strong interest and commitment in research.
  • Good communicator and team member.
  • Basic computer skills, and experience with REDCap data entry system desirable.
  • Laboratory experience desirable.
