Job Description

Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience

As a Senior Economist, you will play a pivotal role in undertaking complex economic analysis related to our client's risk assessment process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake country risk assessment in support of underwriting and risk management
  • Assume responsibility for commodity forecasts, forecasting methods and views on commodity markets
  • Undertake economic and political economy analysis in support of business planning and marketing

You will be working closely with both internal and external clients, providing financial expertise and solutions that drive sustainable growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Estimated Salary: AU$150,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Economics at Honours level or higher
  • At least 8 years work experience as an economist with demonstrated sound judgement
  • Firm grasp of the principles of economics, both micro and macro
