Geriatric Medicine Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Geriatric Medicine Consultant to join our team in a key leadership role.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious medical professional to shape the future of geriatric medicine, working within a state-of-the-art hospital and a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert care to patients with complex geriatric needs, including those with multiple comorbidities and functional impairment.

  2. Deliver medical leadership as Clinical Lead, supporting advanced trainees, registrars, and junior doctors in their development and growth.

  3. Partner with the Clinical Director to drive service innovation, including developing new models of care and improving patient outcomes.

  4. Play a key role in education, clinical governance, and workforce development, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

  5. Commitment to innovative, patient-centred models of care.

Requirements:

  • Specialist Registration: A qualified medical practitioner registered (or eligible for registration) as a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine with the Medical Board of Australia.

  • Fellowship: Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Geriatric Medicine, or an equivalent recognised qualification.

  • Experience: Proven 7+ years of clinical experience as a Geriatric Medicine Specialist, with demonstrated capacity to manage clinical, non-clinical, and managerial responsibilities.
