We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant who has worked in a project-based environment. Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will provide support across all areas of the function spanning payroll, insurance, risk and governance, standards and company finance policies.

The Role:

  • Prepare month-end reporting for the group, including balance sheet reconciliations, adjustment journals, variance analysis and dashboard reporting
  • Manage tax and reporting obligations (BAS, FBT, PTRS etc)
  • Proactive cash flow forecasting, analysis and reporting, with the ability to train non-finance personnel
  • Project accrual analysis
  • Manage external audit and other compliance requirements, including oversight of financial statements, compliance with accounting standards and preparation of supporting workpapers
  • Prepare cyclical and ad-hoc financial reports for senior leaders of the business
  • Support Commercial and Operations team with financial information and reporting to support decision making
  • Support continuous business processes and systems improvements

Key Requirements:

  • CA or CPA qualified, with a minimum of 5 years' experience (ideally within construction or infrastructure)
  • Hands-on and proactive, with the ability to lead and drive outcomes across the organisation
  • Strong accounting technical knowledge, advanced Excel/financial modelling skills and experience in Jobpac is highly desirable
  • Transformational leadership experience with proven success in leading teams through change and process improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable plans
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement across senior leadership and operations
  • Strong analytical mindset with hands-on delivery approach
