Test Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and executing automated and manual functional test cases, documenting the testing outputs, and verifying that the quality of the software developed is stable, meets the agreed requirements, and is fit for purpose.

  • Promote DevSecOps methodologies in deliverables.
  • Conduct SIT of Requirements documentation, Epics, Stories, and Defects.
  • Conduct all other forms of testing according to the testing strategy and plans.
  • Provide input to Test Lead/Manager on estimates for test effort and content.
  • Raise project risks and issues via the Test Lead/Manager.
  • Create relevant test data.
  • Draft test conditions/acceptance criteria and ensure traceability is mapped to Requirements/Stories.
  • Write manual or automated test cases with detailed test steps.
  • Raise defects in JIRA and track through to resolution.
Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Test Analyst role (manual, functional testing, and preferably automated testing).
  • Proven experience of testing and/or domain knowledge of Insurance, CRM, Finance, and Accounting functions.
  • Experience of testing across the end-to-end process of Waterfall and Agile Software Development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience of ISTQB testing standards and Jira.
  • Ideal ISTQB qualified at Certification Foundation Level.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in writing automated test scripts.
  • Knowledge of test tools like TestRail and SAHI Pro is desirable but not essential.
