Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our national geotechnical team, you will be responsible for carrying out various tasks including geotechnical investigations, engineering geological and geomorphological terrain evaluation, landslide/slope risk assessment, slope stability analysis, ground improvement and remediation design, tailings dam design, management, and operation, instrumentation and monitoring data interpretation, construction QA/QC, and project management and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting geotechnical investigations and characterisation.
2. Providing technical advice to clients and colleagues on engineering geological and geomorphological terrain evaluation.
3. Performing landslide/slope risk assessment and slope stability analysis.
4. Designing ground improvement and remediation systems.
5. Managing tailings dams and ensuring safe operations.
6. Interpreting instrumentation and monitoring data.
7. Ensuring quality control and assurance on construction projects.
8. Leading project teams and delivering projects on time and on budget.

Requirements:
You must have:
1. Between 2-6 years of hands-on experience in geology, geotechnical or civil engineering.
2. Excellent communication and report writing skills with the ability to deliver high-quality reports on time and on budget.
3. A strong attitude and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
4. Well-developed creative, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
5. Motivation for continuous improvement and professional development.
6. Post-graduate qualifications are advantageous.
