We're seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Queensland.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, with experience in ground investigation, analysis and design of foundations, earthworks and retaining structures.

They will be responsible for leading and overseeing geotechnical aspects as part of a project team, ensuring best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a senior geotechnical engineer to join our dynamic team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and overseeing geotechnical aspects as part of a project team
  • Scoping and delivering geotechnical projects or components
  • Planning and supervising site investigations
  • Performing geotechnical analyses
  • Designing foundations, earth retaining structures and ground improvement solutions
  • Preparing technical reports and feasibility studies
  • Identifying geotechnical risks and developing mitigation strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer status (or eligibility)
  • Approximately 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in ground investigation, geotechnical analysis and design
  • Experience in soft-soil investigation and design for South-East Queensland conditions
  • Awareness of geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Slope/W, Settle3D, LPILE and gINT
  • Strong report writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage projects, budgets and teams
