Key Role

As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for developing and managing high-value donor relationships across the state. Reporting to the WA General Manager, you will lead the state's major gifts and trust/foundation portfolio, collaborating with local and national teams to deliver measurable impact.

Delivering exceptional donor engagement and stewardship events is essential for this role, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure proposals reflect key program priorities.

A strategic mindset and experience with CRM or fundraising databases are also essential for success in this position. If you have a passion for building relationships and driving growth, this could be an exciting opportunity for you.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of major donors, trusts, and foundations
  • Create and implement a WA-specific philanthropy strategy and business plan
  • Re-engage and deepen relationships with current and lapsed donors
  • Write compelling cases for support and tailored funding proposals
  • Identify new prospects and create a pipeline of long-term supporters
  • Collaborate with local and national teams to achieve shared goals
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing major donor or high-value client relationships
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent proposal writing skills
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Experience with CRM or fundraising databases (e.g. Raiser's Edge)
