Forklift Maintenance Specialist in Melbourne

As a key player in our Visy Logistics team based out of Coolaroo, you'll have a full-time permanent role with opportunities for overtime. Reporting to the Service Manager, your primary responsibility will be delivering quality service while performing scheduled maintenance and safety checks on our forklift machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical activities to repair, maintain, and service our Forklift machinery across our Coolaroo site.
  • Conduct fault finding and diagnostics tasks to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Attend to machine breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
  • Organize parts and inventory to optimize workflow.
  • Administer scheduled works effectively.
  • Champion safety awareness and ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience from a similar background as either a field service or workshop-based mechanic within the forklift industry.
  • A Mechanic Trade Certificate level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience with service and repairs to Forklifts is essential.
  • A current full driver's license and forklift license are mandatory.
  • An exceptional ability for fault finding and diagnostics, and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to multitask and work autonomously.
  • Maintain and uphold company safety policies and procedures.
