Accounting Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This key position will be responsible for leading and developing the accounting function, managing the period close process, ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger and financial reporting, and maintaining internal controls.

This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Australian financial and tax reporting, and a deep understanding of US GAAP. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting or financial function, with at least 3 years in a manager role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage preparation and review of profit & loss and balance sheet journal entries and reconciliations
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close and consolidation processes across APAC
  • Prepare statutory financial reports for Australia, including APAC consolidation for the holding company
  • Oversee tax compliance activities, including preparation, review, and timely filing of statutory returns and reports
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly 10Q packets for SEC submission
  • Act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with SOX testing procedures

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting and full membership in CPA or CA
  • Strong knowledge of U.S GAAP
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills
  • Self-motivated, independent, and desire to drive efficiencies through process improvement
  • Ability to think critically and understand the underlying purpose of a given journal entry, internal control, or process
