Speech Therapist

 

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Speech Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on providing speech therapy services to clients in Ballarat and surrounding locations.

This is a full-time or part-time position for the right person who will benefit from our extensive experience in supporting our clinicians to thrive in their roles.

 

Key Responsibilities

The Speech Therapist will manage a caseload and provide evidence-based therapeutic supports in a timely manner. This includes delivering speech pathology services to clients within schools, homes, and the broader community.

The successful candidate will interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each client, assess clients' communication and/or swallowing level of function and capacity using clinical observations and standardized assessments, and recommend provision of assistive technology to assist clients with their functional limitations and promote independence.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess a positive, can-do approach and mindset, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and their support networks to make a real and lasting difference, strive for continuous improvement of our practices and outcomes, demonstrated ability to maintain consistent and regular contact with all stakeholders, and current driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.

 

Qualifications

A degree-qualified Speech Therapist with current Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) is required.
