Job Title: Supply Chain Optimization Specialist

Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to work collaboratively with logistics engineers and operations teams to provide solutions and extend support in meeting logistics targets. This involves working on X-functional areas and projects to ensure the Volvo core values of Quality, Safety, and Environment are understood and represented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in particular logistics processes and flows with understanding of end-to-end logistics supply chain management.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics IT systems and synchronization of physical material flows in the warehouse with information flow.
  • Understand VOC guidelines for improvement or changes and troubleshoot issues, documenting RCA's and implementing KAIZEN's.
  • Promote and implement VPS principles and understand processes to help them being implemented.
  • Perform audits to ensure processes are adhered to and identify business problems providing systematic end-to-end solutions addressing business needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of MTM (STRIPE) systems considered a plus. Strong Microsoft office suite skills required. Strong analytical capabilities a plus. Experienced working in QlikView/Power BI/SQL considered a plus. Experience working in manufacturing environment preferred. Understanding of logistics systems, processes, lean manufacturing, and Kaizen. Ability to work within team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
