Civil Site Engineer Position Overview

Civil site engineers play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects, including road and highway upgrades.

Our organization is seeking experienced civil site engineers to contribute to the effective management of these projects, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to project planning, implementation, and monitoring to achieve designated time, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Maintain project quality standards in consultation with clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow management, and funding arrangements to ensure project sustainability.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of AS2124 General Conditions of Contract and DTMR policies, standards, specifications, and procedures. A degree in civil engineering or an equivalent qualification, recognized by the Institution of Engineers Australia, is also essential. RPEQ accreditation is a desirable asset for more senior roles.

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years prior experience in civil roads infrastructure construction with any Australian state government road authority, preferably the Department of Transport and Main Roads in Queensland.
  • Excellent knowledge of road and bridge design, construction, maintenance, and materials.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, to establish good working relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience in delivering civil engineering projects, including road and bridges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to foresee problems and implement corrective action.
