We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our out-of-school programs and activities for young people. As a Team Leader at the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria, you will be responsible for managing a team in the development and operation of comprehensive programs tailored to the cohorts interests and cultural backgrounds.

About this Role:
  • Manage a team of professionals in the development and operation of out-of-school programs and activities for young people.
  • Contribute to improving the outcomes of young people's futures by leading critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards and operating practices that enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
The Job:
  • Manage the Youth Engagement Officers at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct to provide a comprehensive program and activities that acknowledge and celebrate cultural, religious and significant days and events.
  • Plan programs for the Parkville precinct in advance to ensure they meet the needs of the target cohort.
  • Maintain an understanding of issues impacting on youth justice and investigate and lead critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards and operating practices that enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
Key Requirements:
  • You will have knowledge, experience and understanding of current issues, trends and techniques relating to the development, implementation and operation of programs and strategies within the youth justice and adult custodial settings.
  • A strong commitment to delivering services that improve the lives of Victorian communities is essential.
