Job Description

Our organization operates at the forefront of renewable energy solutions, encompassing the entire value chain from development and construction to designing, manufacturing, and operations & maintenance (O&M). We are currently seeking a skilled O&M SCADA Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing control systems for solar generation assets. This will involve overseeing network infrastructure, monitoring performance, diagnosing faults, and collaborating with technicians to troubleshoot control, electrical, and networking issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize control systems for solar generation assets.
  • Oversee network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and routers for SCADA and automation systems.
  • Monitor performance and diagnose faults across SCADA, PLCs, and data communication pathways.
  • Collaborate with technicians to troubleshoot control, electrical, and networking issues.
  • Ensure compliance with grid codes, cybersecurity protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Support system upgrades, network expansions, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of passwords and system locking details.
  • Perform regular system maintenance tasks.
  • Create detailed maintenance reports.
  • Fault find and prepare root cause analysis (RCA) reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, control systems, or mechatronic engineering.
  • At least 3 years' experience in control systems and industrial network management.
  • Strong fault finding skills in SCADA, HMI interfaces, PLC programming, and IP-based communications.
  • Familiarity with network tools, topologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and team collaboration.
  • Compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel across Australia if required.
