Key Roles and Responsibilities

As a seasoned ITS project lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of cutting-edge Intelligent Transport Systems across multiple infrastructure projects in Victoria, Australia.

The role involves leading and managing high-performing teams to ensure seamless integration of ITS components, while maintaining safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including civil, electrical, and technology contractors, to guarantee the successful delivery of ITS projects.
  • Oversee the installation of traffic signals, CCTV, VMS, SCATS, AVLC, and other ITS devices to meet project milestones and specifications.
  • Develop and implement effective project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the construction lifecycle to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading ITS or electrical infrastructure installation, preferably with relevant trade qualifications or certifications.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills to drive project success and deliver results-oriented outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of ITS technologies and standards, including reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and resolve technical issues.
