We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in Epping, Victoria. The successful candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a focus on producing high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team environment to produce over 60 chassis per week.
  • Interpret written assembly drawings and weld diagrams for caravans, chassis, suspensions, and accessories.
  • Fabricate steel parts using various cutting equipment.
  • Cut, grind, and bend edges of materials/metal sections and shapes using hand and power tools.
  • Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Select and adjust MIG welder settings before welding.
  • Prepare components by positioning, aligning, and securing parts using tools such as jigs and vises.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure components before welding.
  • Weld metal components in vertical, overhead, flat, and horizontal positions.
  • Weld various connections with high-quality results as per Intelligent Engineering standards.
  • Clean and smooth components and joints by filing, chiselling, and grinding.
  • Maintain safety by wearing protective equipment and following procedures.
  • Select, clean, and prepare metal stocks.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in a relevant fabrication trade.
  • At least five years of welding experience.
