We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in Epping, Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on caravans chassis, suspensions, and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working in a team environment to produce over 60 chassis per week.
  • Interpreting written assembly drawings and weld diagrams to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Fabricating steel parts using various cutting equipment.
  • Cutting, grinding, and bending edges of materials/metal sections and shapes using hand and power tools.
  • Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Selecting and adjusting MIG welder settings for optimal results.
  • Preparing components by positioning, aligning, and securing parts using jigs and vises.
  • Bolting, clamping, and tack-welding parts to secure components before welding.
  • Welding metal components in various positions, including vertical, overhead, flat, and horizontal.
  • Cleaning and smoothing components and joints by filing, chiselling, and grinding.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment by wearing protective equipment and following procedures.
  • Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal stocks.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in a relevant fabrication trade.
  • At least five years of welding experience.
